Journalism students win first place in the "Little Pigeons 27th Generation" training competition

Journalism students win first place award for excellent news from the "Little Pigeon 27th Generation" training stage. 

Ms. Ubonrak Rattana-wan and Mr. Wirawat Singhosiri, third-year students in the content creation and news program, College of Communication Arts, teamed up to win first place award for excellent news and honorable mention from the "Little Pigeon 27" training project. Both of them are news editors. Ms. Ubonrak's group won first place, while Mr. Wirawat's group received honorable mention. Both received certificates from Ms. N. Rinee Ruangnu, President of the Thai Journalists Association (TJA), and Ms. Hathairat Deeprasert, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Thai Journalists Association. The "Little Pigeon" Journalist Workshop Project, Generation 27, 2025, was attended by qualified speakers to share knowledge on news writing, such as Mr. Katchapong Leelaphongrit, political reporter for Nation TV, and Ms. Busarin Worasamit, news editor. This evening's featured news program CH3, Ms. Oruma Wattanasuk Rerkpattanapipat, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, True Corporation Plc., Ms. Thanyarat Thamoi, news anchor of PPTV TV station, and Ms. Jilpreeya Uppatham, producer of Thairath TV station. In addition, students also went to the field to practice 5 real news projects: 1. Writing a news discussion on "Few children are born" 2. Writing news on the field 3. 5-minute news scoop 4. 10-minute live news report and 5. TikTok video clip. This project is organized by the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund in collaboration with the Thai Journalists Association (TJA) and True Corporation on January 16-18, 2025 at Best Western Hotel, Chatuchak, with 30 students from 22 universities nationwide participating in the training. There were lecturers and seniors to share knowledge and exchange experiences in working in the media. To provide knowledge to participants in the 4-day training and practice in field reporting.
