รองศาสตราจารย์ สุรสิทธิ์ วิทยารัฐ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ปาริชาต รัตนบรรณสกุล ดร.ปุณรภา ประดิษฐพงษ์ อาจารย์ แขนงวิชาการสร้างสรรค์เนื้อหาและงานข่าว วิทยาลัยนิเทศศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทา เข้าร่วมงานสัมมนา “รายการขยี้ข่าว สะท้อน หรือซ้ำเติมปัญหาสังคม” จัดโดย สำนักงาน กสทช. โดย ศ.กิตติคุณพิรงรอง รามสูต กรรมการกิจการกระจายเสียง กิจการโทรทัศน์ และกิจการโทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ (กสทช.) กล่าว ว่า ปัจจุบันรายการข่าวในไทย 20 จาก 30 รายการเป็นการ “ขยี้ข่าว”มีทั้งดีและเสีย ให้พื้นที่คนแต่เสี่ยงผลิตซ้ำความรุนแรง ง่ายต่อการละเมิด ทั้งนี้ รายการขยี้ข่าว ที่ได้รับความนิยมในประเทศไทยนี่ ก็มีทั้งข้อดีและข้อเสีย เหมือนดาบสองคม นอกจากนี้ยังมี ผู้ดำเนินรายการข่าว โฆษกกรมสุขภาพจิต ฯลฯ กล่าวให้ความเห็นในประเด็นที่แตกต่างกันออกไป ณ โรงแรมเซนจูรี่
