Starting the year off right, PR students participated in “Bangkok Design Week 2026,” developing their media relations skills and expanding their communication strategy ideas. Recently, Ms. Lakkana Ano and Ms. Athitiya Sibram, second-year students in the Public Relations and Strategic Communication program, visited Bangkok Design Week 2026 to experience Samsung's display technology firsthand. This field trip provided students with hands-on experience as public relations professionals, from welcoming media and gathering key information for dissemination, to developing creative communication skills with a broader perspective. It sparked new ideas to further their studies in the PRS3201 Strategic Media Relations course, taught by Assistant Professor Rewadee Waiwasana, and related subjects, as well as their future careers. We would like to express our gratitude to Ms. Pansa Chirachaitamrongsak (P' Tangjai), an alumna of the Public Relations program, class of 33, and Ms. Panitpicha Kongsang (P' Ket), an alumna of the Journalism program, class of 25, for this wonderful opportunity. They have ignited a new generation of passionate public relations professionals ready to move forward and work professionally. The Bangkok Design Week 2026, now in its 9th year, is organized by the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA, in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, government and private sector agencies, educational institutions, international organizations, and creative economy networks. Under the concept of “DESIGN S/O/S,” a signal for “Doing/Making/Survival,” the event highlights creative design that blends Thai identity with cutting-edge technology – a crucial tool for driving a new economic society and improving the long-term quality of life for citizens. The festival takes place from January 29th to February 8th, 2026, in four main areas: Charoen Krung - Talat Noi, Phra Nakhon, Pak Khlong Talat, Bang Lamphu - Khao San, and other areas throughout Bangkok.
