

Executives from the College of Communication Arts attended the “Matichon X AIS Forum 2026: Innovation Changes Thailand” at Pullman King Power Bangkok to gain insights into the country’s strategic innovation direction and progress in national infrastructure development. The event featured a special keynote address titled “Innovation Changes Thailand”
by Professor Dr. Yotchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation
The forum was organized through a collaboration between the public and private sectors, aiming to transform organizational structures and management systems in response to the digital era. Participating organizations included the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the National Innovation Agency (NIA), Matichon Public Company Limited, and Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS).
The event highlighted discussions on Digital Infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and advanced technologies, all of which play a vital role in curriculum development and in preparing communication professionals with innovative communication skills to meet future industry demands.
The forum also showcased several innovations that are shaping the future of Thailand, including space and geoinformatics technologies developed by GISTDA, autonomous underwater exploration vehicles from Rovula, and economic development initiatives driven by intellectual property innovation.
This event was organized as part of Matichon’s 49th anniversary celebration, following its first seminar held on January 28 under the theme “Thailand Blooming 2026: Shaping Thailand’s Future.” The forum served as an important platform for all sectors to collectively envision and communicate the future direction of the nation.
Assistant Professor Kanyapat Utapao emphasized the significance of participating in the forum, stating:
“As an educational institution that develops communication professionals, understanding the country’s innovation strategy is essential. It enables us to establish educational foundations that effectively integrate technology and communication.”
